Adult Continuing Education

CORRECTIONDue to an oversight, the price of the eight-week Yoga class was misreported on the flyer that was mailed to residents; it is correct in the brochure attached to this page. The cost of the eight-week Yoga course is $65 for general participants; the Senior Citizen fee is $40. Non-residents will still need to add a $15 fee.

Please accept our apologies for this error. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

- Dr. Thomas P. Moss, Director of Adult Continuing Education

It is never too late to learn!

Come discover opportunities to grow academically, personally, and professionally through Hicksville Public Schools’ Adult Continuing Education program. Our program provides opportunities and activities to promote lifelong learning, so consider coming out in the evening to enjoy the company of other adults as a community of learners explores new interests and strengthens present ones. Classes for the Spring 2019 session begin Monday, March 11th, 2019.

We are pleased to offer this program to district residents and to those outside the community as well. Senior Citizens who are district residents enjoy free access to many courses; when a course is not free, district resident senior citizens pay a reduced fee.

Non-Residents are welcome to attend our program for an additional $15.00 per course. You can register by mail or by coming to the Adult Continuing Education Office, which is located in Room 105 of Hicksville High School.

The office is open Monday ‒ Thursday from 3:30 PM ‒ 7:30 PM.

Walk-in registrations will be accepted beginning Monday, March 4th, 2019.

District residents will receive a copy of the program flyer in the mail. Access to a brochure containing course dates, times, and descriptions is available via the link below. Paper copies of the brochure will be available also in the Hicksville Public Library, Hicksville Public Schools, Community Centers, and in the Office of Continuing Education.
